'Support local shop local' initiative launched

Hurley’s Media and Cayman National have announced a partnership to support 31 local businesses and give customers the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes with the launch of Support Local Shop Local.

When customers shop at a participating Support Local Shop Local business between June 15 – September 11 and spend $10 or more, they will receive one entry into the store raffle.

Raffle prizes include $100 gift certificates, SWAG bags, beauty treatments, restaurant vouchers, headphones, one-off experiences and much more. Support Local Shop Local was created to support local businesses in an effort to recover from COVID-19.
“It has been devastating to see the effects on local businesses, that are the backbone of our community, due to COVID-19,” said Brydie Phillips, Marketing & PR Manager at Hurley’s Media.

“We are delighted to be working with Cayman National to help these businesses grow foot traffic, reservations and online sales while giving customers the chance at winning some amazing prizes,” said Ms Phillips.

“We have come through a very difficult period together and without tourism, as we know it, local support for local retailers is critical to stimulate our economy,” said Janet Hislop, President at Cayman National Bank.

"Cayman National is proud to be a part of this initiative and we invite more local businesses to sign up,” Ms Hislop said.
